Van Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Hey'a Slug, get the Michlins. Used them on the trip to the Nat'l.......great tire! Cheers Van
dlaing Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I like these guys: http://www.buymoto.com/Michelin_Tires_s/22.htm http://www.buymoto.com/ A previous owner of the company was a co-worker. He sold to his friends who seem to doing well keeping the prices low. Before dealing with them, I had success with these guys: It looks like there front tires are cheaper, but their rears more expense. Also, they have fewer compound choices. Not sure of actual price after shipping and handling... http://www.tiresunlimited.com/ 110/70ZR17 BW 9 T86159 $129.33 Buy! 120/60ZR17 BW 10 T79784 $129.33 Buy! 120/65ZR17 BW 10 T88829 $133.33 Buy! 120/70ZR17 BW 10 T92557 $101.50 Special! Darius Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 For your consideration - you may want to look at the Avon Storm ST as well. I had the Pilot Roads and really liked them. The Avon's are equally as good in handling and ride a little smoother and supposed to last a little longer (I got 7-8K out of the Pilots). What really sold me on Avons is they replaced the rear under warranty after I got a puncture in a relatively new tire. Warrant covers up to 1MM wear - I had about 2MM and they still replaced the tire. All this happened through my local bike shop who gives me competitive prices and great service (not a MG dealer unfortunately but a good source for general needs)
