macguzzi Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Thought I would report in after a year of using bridgestone battleax 014's. What an improvement these tyres have made to my bike it is transformed from a slow turning slug into a very flickable motorcycle, the handling improvement has been stunning only yesterday I was on a very twisty road the A7 ( have a look on the map you will see what I mean) the control and confidence these tyres give through fast changing bends is quite something. This road goes left right left right with some very long corners even I have been surprised at the bikes willingness to change direction very quickly this was certainly not the case with the standard factory 020's. The wear has been exceptable considering the vast improvement of the bike. It was just one of those days when you realise why you love your Guzzi. Incidently I was visiting the Aero leather factory in Gala probally the best leather jackets in the world.
Guest frankdugo Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 had the battleax on a little honda intrceptor ,they are great handeling tyres.how many kl/mi you have on them?i don't remember the mileage i got.rode them hard &saw tread at about 5k 7
macguzzi Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 put 1500 mls on em and wear seems fine for a soft tyre
rocker59 Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 The BT-014 is a great sport tire for the spine-frame bikes. I've been running 'em on my Sport 1100 for the past few years. The only downside to this tire it tread life. On my Sport 1100, they last about 3,000 miles.
