cash1000 Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Im have a 2001 RMD that is leaking petrol from the right hand side of the tank. I think its from the thing that helps control the pressure in the fuel injection. Its only leaking a small amount of petrol . Ive tried tightening the screws that hold it to the tank but no success. Should I change the seal between the device and tank. Does anyone have any ideas?
raz Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 This happened to Jaap a couple of years ago, try finding that thread. I recall it has a nice diagram of the pressure regulator. Jaap's problem was the regulator itself leaking, not its' mount to the tank. It was an easy fix: remove the clip underneath, pull it apart, replace the o-ring. Something like that, IIRC. EDIT: I found the thread: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10463 but he didn't even have to replace the o-rings, just clean up some crud.
