Guzzirider Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Just read the very sad news on the MGCGB site that John Maris was tragically killed yesterday after being involved in a head on collision with another bike. John used to be a regular forum visitor under the name of Aironepony, and was a true gentleman. I was only chatting to him the other day at Gyles's funeral when he was showing pictures of his newly built LM2 Cafe Racer. RIP mate. Guy

Admin Jaap Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 That's really sad news. I've had some brief e-mail contact with him in the past and he seemed like a really nice guy. RIP
belfastguzzi Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Terrible, tragically sad news. John's passion was matched by his craftsmanship. His contribution here was always inspiring and witty.
macguzzi Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Very sad to hear the news of Johns death both he and Gyles were also members of the V7 sport/750s/S3 forums and web sites the contribution they both made will be sadly missed
Mal Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 This is very sad news, what a top bloke, like Guy, I last saw him at Gyles's funeral where his spirits helped cheer us up, my thoughts go out to his family. Mal
