Went on a ride to the desert Sunday, and I took my camera. Here are a couple of shots.

this is all road 78, past Julian on the way to Borrego Springs.

The 3rd and the 4th are very nice!

Its been 30 years now since I've been down that road. Sitting here in Maine on the cusp of winter the thought of spending time down in the desert seems very inviting.

 

The highlight of that ride was stopping at Manzanita Ranch and having an ice cold cup of fresh cider.

Wonder if they are still in business.

Yeah, it was a warm ride. I have not heard of Manzanita Ranch before, as I am new to SoCal. But I will check it out next time I am on that road.
