fuelsI've watched the debate about pinging and the suggested cures ranging from tune up to minor engine rebuild, well here's my :2c: Back when I was an apprentice and they still put lead in fuel the rule of thumb was compression 7.5:1 approx or less ,regular or standard fuel 92 ron ok. Higher ratio better fuel around 97ron (premium or super) I believe the V11 has a ratio of 9.8:1 why on earth would u run low octane fuel(as some members have said they do) then wonder why it pings.These bikes don't leave the factory pinging so look for the simple things first. Have u change fuel recently is igniton timming accurate. If u must use a low octane fuel use an octane booster.I've attached a link to a fuel article u might find interesting B)
