Paul Minnaert Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I have to admit, I do have a carc bike too. A 1200 sport. And to add a personal part, I got her real brakes. And a golden bar. Small things to start with.
fotoguzzi Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I like the bar, wish I had a 1200 sport but I love the V11.
antonio carroccio Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Dunno Paul, the original brakes are doing very well. I have made a couple of stoppies with rear wheel 20-30 cm from the ground. Nothing wrong to the original pads. Estetical looks very nice this silver brake of you. The golden bar......well a little bit "hoerig"
Dimitris Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Is the golden bar the one from Aprilia Tuono?

Admin Jaap Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 No, it's from the V11 Café Sport! (exactly the same...)
grossohc Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 No, it's from the V11 Café Sport! (exactly the same...) But nicer
1100sport Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 talking about pimping CARCs, are there any aftermarket lightweight wheels outhere ? How heavy are the factory ones ? But nicer
Guzzirider Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Rossopuro (see the link above on the site sponsors bar) sell Alpina wheels for the V11. Not sure if they sell them for CARC bikes but they have fitted a pair to their Grios special- expensive though. Guzzi themsleves make spoked wheels for CARC bikes- see the new Griso Tenni.
Admin Jaap Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 There are spoked wheels (Alpina?) for the CARC models. Antonio knows more.
antonio carroccio Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 check this out http://www.mgcn.nl/forum/index.php?act=att...ost&id=9435
1100sport Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Yes, Alpina offers some spoked wheels alternatives (not a surprise as Alpina supply the Stelvio spoked wheels). But usually spoked wheels are heavier... Though they look nice. I was curious to know how much the current Carc wheels weigh. Stock wheels are very heavy on stock V11 /1100 sport, and you can loose a lot of weight by going aftermarket. Is the same potential benefit available on the Griso? I was interested in finding out if there were some true performance forged wheels available (like say PVM or Marchesini). I have not seen any yet... Mathieu

Paul Minnaert Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 well front wheel should't be any problem. and for rear I bet PVM makes you one. The mounting looks a bit like BMW, and they produce for them.
