Valve Clearance...I know, I know....

I know this has been hashed and rehashed, but it is hard to see what has been learned. I have seen some wildly different valve settings here for the V11. It is hard to understand how they can all still be running. I am going to be looking at my clearances this weekend. I am entertaining any suggestions for Mistrals, pods and stock crossover. Frankly, I want to know what I AM CURRENTLY USING for clearances because I can't see how it can be improved. Idle is good, no backfire, no soft spots and strong to red line. I wish we all had our bikes in one place so we could check them out. But my midrange is very hot, with very tight throttle response and, probably, the ability to lift the front end on any bump under acceleration which is not bad considering how heavy the thing is.... ;)

Judging from my set up - what do you think would make sense?

Obviously what you have makes the best sense.

Indeed. I guess I am curious in light of all this talk. I don't think I'll be changing anything - maybe just make sure they are the same. I think it will be interesting to report back here on what I am running. :bike:

..if you are satisfied with your performance, measure your valve clearances as they are now, and note them. Then you can go back to them if you ever have to adjust the valves.

Every bike is different, especially after a lot of miles :)
