DeBenGuzzi Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 OH fudge me, if I was younger without the family I would do it in a SECOND!!!! I would BEG, That would be a job of a lifetime if only for a year and enough pay to barely eat.
pete roper Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I've applied . Really, I have. time for Jude's sister to step up to the plate and mind Val and my kids are grown up or on the cusp. I'd do it. Pete
Guzzirider Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Good luck Pete. I think the previous guy was an Aussie called Peter. I like Agostinis- friendly, efficient and they love the bikes- what more could you want? I reckon living and working there, anyone would pick up the lingo soon enough.
Paul Minnaert Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 an important thing: Love of Italian food and wine
belfastguzzi Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I've applied . Really, I have. time for Jude's sister to step up to the plate and mind Val and my kids are grown up or on the cusp. I'd do it. Pete If you get the job, I'll come and be your butler. Really. I'll learn Italian and do your translation. I can cook and sew.
Orson Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 OH fudge me, if I was younger without the family I would do it in a SECOND!!!! I would BEG, That would be a job of a lifetime if only for a year and enough pay to barely eat. same here! If this had been 10 or 20 years ago, I would BE there. I wonder why the Aussie quit? Had his fill of fun?
luhbo Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Good luck Pete. I think the previous guy was an Aussie called Peter. I like Agostinis- friendly, efficient and they love the bikes- what more could you want? .....(snip) Peter (if he has quit) was a big part of this friendly, ever calm and efficient business. At least to me as a customer it seemed so. Maybe he reads here, then thank you and all the best for your days to come! BTW, would it make sense to wear my V11LeMans.com shirt next time I'll be there? Hubert
pete roper Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Peter is/was married to Alis. I can't see him quitting unless they've bust up which would be a shame. My guess is they just need another english speaker. Pete
wheelsucker Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I wonder if the wife and kids could forgive me? Guess its a good thing I don't have an EU passport or citizenship.
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I wonder if the wife and kids could forgive me? Guess its a good thing I don't have an EU passport or citizenship. I don't have any kids and I don't care if I am forgiven. If I can meet the third criterion I'm outta here!
John in Leeds Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I've applied . Really, I have. time for Jude's sister to step up to the plate and mind Val and my kids are grown up or on the cusp. I'd do it. Pete Chances dont come that often and they sound like good people - go for it.
felix42o Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Definitely a one-off opportunity...the worker's permit isn't hard to get. My ex had one while I was stationed there. Damn, if I didn't have so much time left in the service I'd be on this in a heartbeat. And a buddy of mine just moved to Bellaggio...
Steve G. Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 I don't have any kids and I don't care if I am forgiven. If I can meet the third criterion I'm outta here! ?????
roberto tenni Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Grazia mille Steve for pointing this out. My application will be with Alis by the end of today.
