sealring on crank...

[Slavomir Musilek (R.I.P.)]

Yesterday evening I noticed small amount of oil leaking from the side of oil sump gasket. Didn't care much about it as there is always some oil leaking from Guzzi. Drove home 7km. Just to find, the oil is not leaking but running from the point where the crank connects to gbox. Great. Sealring on crank has gone. I have ten days to repair it.

 

 

"Never say yourselves, wau, the bike is running just perfect!" Say this and be sure, some trouble will occur. Very quickly.

 

 

Seal has 32000km on the clock. Has been checked one and half year ago when and showed no bugs.

 

 

Sometimes I have strong feeling that transverse Vtwin is such a bad joke.

 

however, I couldn't find any info regarding the sealring on the net. Does anybody know some specifications? Or some universal type? Or! Has anyone already suffered from ruined seal ring?
