it appears i have developed a serious case of guzzi-lust, and the only way for me to assuage it is to sell or trade my rock-steady RT.

it is a 1999 stealth gray (the fastest color) model.

mileage: 48,661

location: flagstaff, az.

it is, imo, truly hard to beat for one or two-up long distance riding and needs absolutely nothing. i have done 700 mile days on this bike and ridden in all temperatures -- in fact, the temperature control of this bike is one of the things that makes the RT outstanding: the engine doesn't blast your legs with heat, and the adjustable windscreen and ergonomics (and heated grips and powerlet for heated vests, etc.) allow you to ride quite comfortably under very cold conditions as well.

the bike is mechanically perfect, and has only a few cosmetic scratches from a driveway tip-over. the hard-case covers have scratches from the cases (but not the bike) being dropped when not properly mounted but the mounting and locking mechanisms (one of which was replaced) are in perfect working order.
