too tall Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I tried to reset my trip meter yesterday and now the odometer and trip meter won’t turn. The trip meter knob feels as if it came loose or has bent. Is this a doable repair that a shade tree wrench can handle? If so what's the procedure? Thanks, Frank.
savagehenry Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I just did the tripmeter knob. Real simple repair, usually just the screw that holds it in coming loose. Just order from your local MG dealer (less than $10.00) and a touch of loc-tite before putting it back on.
luhbo Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 ....and a touch of loc-tite before putting it back on. Loc-Tite sounds like a lot of fun - next time you want to remove the instrument housings (bulb change or so). I'd suggest something less secure. Hubert
