biesel Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 http://www.v11sport.de/forum/viewtopic.php...38&start=20 REALLY nice!
Admin Jaap Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Sorry, no... The bodywork looks like silly putty.
mdude Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 it just needs a sharp crease here and there, like the classic alutanks from tank shop. Classic mistake of mistaking "lines" with "jello". I like the simplicity.
Guzzirider Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I agree with Jaap- lines are all wrong especially the tank. I notice these photoshopped bikes never have mirrors, number plates and indicators which change the look of a bike big time. I think there is a small market for factory cafe racers (Triumph Thruxton, Ducati 1000S) but I can't see Piaggio doing it with a Guzzi, not a big one anyway. I think the 4 valve motor would look more menacing if it was black all over.
tikkanen Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I notice these photoshopped bikes never have mirrors, number plates and indicators Well, I beg to differ. I actually find it pretty good looking and this particular 'bike' actually has mirrors, indicators (check the handlebar) and - ah, well, no license plate.... When is your new baby due, Guy? Any snaps up front to tempt us? Søren
jrt Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 It's not too bad, but the tank reminds me of a kidney bean (that's it! For sale now, the Moto Guzzi Phaseolus!) Good photoshop skills- I gotta give him that.
macguzzi Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 if it was black all over. Not for long we all know the paint would fall off
Guzzirider Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Well, I beg to differ. Any snaps up front to tempt us? Søren Ahh my blurry eyed vision missed the mirrors and indicators- it my age you know. still find the tank all wrong but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beerholder! Cafe racer should be ready in about 10 days or so- the bike is down near Silverstone with Bruce Rawsthorne having some custom rear sets and a few brackets fabricated etc. I'll post some updated pics in the cafe racer thread! Regards Guy
biesel Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 News versions: I think that these ones are looking MUCH better!
Dan M Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 News versions: I think that these ones are looking MUCH better! Agreed. Especially the naked one. Probably pretty torquey at 1400cc too. It may have a hell of a wobble at speed with that offset rear hub. Is it just me or is the rear hub not centered on the wheel?
hoytstaab Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 The sculpted lines are a big improvement. The front fender bracket is missing. If alloy rods are used (e.g. Ducati Sport Classic), then that would be a nice addition. V14 would also be nice.
belfastguzzi Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Yet another. A 'scrambler' the prolific Bezzi MG Scrambler 940
