belfastguzzi Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Found pics posted here in 2004 of a FACTORY road going MGS, apparently. :!: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...ost&p=39021
Orson Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 would this go under "banter" or "silly remarks"?
DeBenGuzzi Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 thats something someone made or if the factory had anything to do with it just a styling mock up, I would guess the exhaust, signals, forks and front fender are all off a mille and someone just made their own homage to the bike that never happened.
Admin Jaap Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Why dig this up? It won't come and that's just frustrating!
belfastguzzi Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 Why dig this up? I never saw it first time round. If it was a test mule then it's an early curiosity and I thought others would be interested to see it too. Found it when looking back at old stuff for St Augustine's Ducati girlfiend.
Orson Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I thought there was someone in Germany who sold a MGS-1 conversion kit to make it street legal?
belfastguzzi Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 I thought there was someone in Germany who sold a MGS-1 conversion kit to make it street legal? As Paul said at the time, maybe that bike was used to get extra testing done, as it's easier if you get out on the road. There have certainly been individual modifications for the road. It could be that someone has then produced a kit too. First though, you need the bike....
Admin Jaap Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 An Austrian guy has built conversion kits. Don't know if they're still available though.
Guzzirider Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 You can do it yourself in the UK. Moto Strada fitted some lights (had to relocate oil cooler from behind fairing) indicators, R1 numberplate hanger and then got it registered with an MOT- think they said it was about £1000 in total. Also fitted immobiser because standard MGS has no ignition key. Guzzbun from this forum did his with no headlight and a daytime only MOT. The trouble is the MGS01 is way overpriced at £17999 in the first place- so those who are willing to pay even more to register one are few and far between. There will be no more Guzzi sports bike ever probably- so if anyone wants one better to build their own!
Orson Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 There will be no more Guzzi sports bike ever probably- so if anyone wants one better to build their own! You forgot the V7 Cafe version

Slavomir Musilek (R.I.P.) Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 no problem, just the pick the one already legal only if I had a little money...
DeBenGuzzi Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 A nice little cute bike but dynoed at 39rwbhp so not really that sporty huh, I think thats just a hair over my leaf blower
Guzzirider Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 no problem, just the pick the one already legal only if I had a little money... Hey that is a very interesting looking Guzzi shop!
jihem Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Am I the only one to think the MGS-01 looks great in its Corsa mode and quite terrible when fitted with lights, mirror, indicators ?
