Admin Jaap Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Dave, the location looks promising! I arrive with Antonio and Jens on Friday. We're coming from Dublin. I will stay a few extra days in Ireland (or Scotland, depending on the weather) and will take the Newcastle ferry home on Wednesday evening. So count me in from Friday to Monday morning. Don't mind sharing a room

antonio carroccio Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I think is better if I share the room with Jaap or somebody else. I prefer a guy, otherwise the temptation would be too much and flesh is weak… <_> Jens has admitted to snoring during the night and he prefers to sleep alone. So if Jaap is accord We will sleep ensamble.
Admin Jaap Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Antonio, not that I don't want to share, but I'm staying a night longer. Maybe not very practical for me to share a room. I'll give you a call this afternoon.

I'll let you know as soon as I can. BTW, singleroom is cheaper than the double one. Is the price right Dave?

The price I was told is £14 per person per night for a Single The Double is £30 so it would be £15 per person per night. Maybe it is only the double rooms that are en-suite? I will find out. If I made a group booking, everything would be £13 per person.

stockport claret Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 hi Dave, would you be wanting deposit money if it's a group booking? saving some pennies is apealing
belfastguzzi Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 hi Dave, would you be wanting deposit money if it's a group booking? saving some pennies is apealing I'll see if I can get a run up to the place tomorrow, to clarify how it would work and check what's what with the facilities.
belfastguzzi Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 When I originally enquired, there was lots of space available. I asked for 15 to 20 beds to be pencilled in for me, as I didn't know what amount of interest there would be. I called at the Hostel this afternoon. There have been a lot of bookings in the past week and now there is not much space left and the single and double rooms have gone.. There's probably enough left though. I have paid a deposit to book the rest of the beds, apart from one 6-bed room – and I'll book that in the next week if it looks like we'll need it. The Camping Barn has been booked by someone else, but a good amount of the Hostel was being held for me, so what I have now booked is: In the Hostel 2 x Family Rooms – double & 2 singles (bunks) 1 x Double Room 2 x 4 Bed Rooms 2 x 6 Bed Rooms All rooms are en-suite. It is self-catering. There is another 6 bed room that I could book. They are buying a nearby Bed and Breakfast, so there will be rooms available there for over-spill, or people who would prefer B&B. There are other guest houses in the village and I also saw one that has camping. The point is, accommodation should be booked as soon as possible. I have paid the deposit, so let me know if you want to book a bed. You don't need to contact the Hostel. You can make payment when you arrive. The Waller family (California combo containing family of 5) will require one of the family rooms, I guess. It is a great location. Sheep Island View Iceland, Rockall, Cape Farewell, The Stacks, Larrybane Head More tomorrow
stockport claret Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Hi Dave, could you put me and Lou down for the double room cheers trevor
