god damn you got it rough overthere with bikes with regards to taxes and rules, here in MN you can use all the special lanes, often there is special parking and all for $14 a year for road tax on a bike no size restrictions unless you have a scooter plus noise and emissions are of no concern. but then either is protective gear I guess this is the land of the free ^_^ except california <_>

Helen and I are active MAG members, as are most of our friends. Well worth the £20 per year knowing there are dedicated lobbyists fighting for us in Westminster.

 

I think Guzzi riders are more likely to care about motorcycling and its future- there are at least 14 Guzzis owned by the guys and gals in the Huddersfield branch- more than the local Guzzi Club!

I am a member of MAG and have been for a while. Although there is next to no club meetings up here, its still worth it, also do a good magazine "the road". If i remember right wasnt there a pic of yourself Guy, Helen ,Mal and some other friends drinking Ale in a pub :o in the last issue.

I knew Simon Milward who was leading the way at the FEMA in Brussels. He was absolutely dedicated to his passion and did a great job at stopping the EC to get involved into cutting the balls of motorcycling.

He is really missed (he died in 2005 while doing a solo world tour).
