slowkitty Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Looks great. What's involved in hotplating? Is it the same as ceramic coating? Thanks for the education. cheers
Richard Z Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Looks great. What's involved in hotplating? Is it the same as ceramic coating? Thanks for the education. cheers It's a Powder Coat process. Can be done in a kitchen oven as long as the part will fit. I buy the High Temp Powder from Eastwood.com. http://www.eastwood.com/hotcoat-powder-coa...mp-powders.html
gstallons Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I suppose you use the kitchen oven (for mechanical purposes)now that you are divorced?
Richard Z Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 I suppose you use the kitchen oven (for mechanical purposes)now that you are divorced? Shhh! Makes the girlfriends casserole taste better.....
slowkitty Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Shhh! Makes the girlfriends casserole taste better..... haha ... I am reading up, and it seems that I will (if I want to indulge in this) to buy the gun and powder. So the sizes of the items will depend on the oven size. Hmmm, tempting, now to figure out how to ship it to Singapore .... Thanks loads for the education. Cheers
mike wilson Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Is the revolving footpeg part of the design?
luhbo Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Watch this: Megaton on 1000 SP These look very similar to yours. He calls them "Megaton"s. Hubert
