Molly Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Got a fuel leak from the fuel pump inlet. Replaced the line from the filter to the inlet and tightened the jubilee clips but the leak is still there. Wanted to ask if the plastic pump inlet was prone to cracking as that's about all I can put it down to at the moment? Thanks.
gstallons Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Can you post pics? Maybe we can provide some alternatives......
Molly Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Can you post pics? Maybe we can provide some alternatives...... I've removed the pump and sure enough, the oulet spout is cracked (wasn't easy to see on the bike). Is there an alternative pump I can buy? I'm guessing one from the Guzzi dealer is going to be expensive for what's surely a common enough part. Thanks very much.
gstallons Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Again; can you post a picture? If it is the red 90 deg. plastic fitting coming out the bottom maybe you can replace it.
raz Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Apparently the external pumps are (or can be replace with) Bosch 0580464048 http://www.fuelpumps.com/19911993-bmw-318i...8l-p-10134.html http://www.centauro-owners.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1579
