been off the forum awhile, missed you guys but i got all wrapped up in my kids high school hockey team.. Yup, the Edina Hornets won the State HS Championship which is huge here in Minnesota "the state of hockey". It's like winning the Super Bowl in High School and the competition is fierce. I was not allowed to shoot the tournament (rules, poohee) but I did shoot the game that got us in.. my kid (#5) scores the 2nd goal in a 3-2 win. if you watch it you can bump up the quality in the pop up, lower right corner from 320p to 720pHD.

I've got a few plastic teeth, and a collection of scars from playing during my youth. Didn't win any championships and still have so many great memories of playing. We had some pretty damn good players in my area, with one friend missing only the last cut to play on what became our U.S. Olympic Gold Medal winning hockey team. Congratulations to your son. Life will take many things in the course of a life, but the memory of being the best will be told to his grandkids, and they will see that "young man" when he tells those stories over again.

Congrat's to you and your son Foto! He and his teammates have some talent. Hopefully there's a scholarship offer for your boy when he graduates...

I live in that other hockey hotbed, Massachusetts. Winning the state championship is a big deal here too. I'm still playing twice a week and coaching my son's teams when I'm not injured :oldgit::grin:

I'd forgotten how big the high school hockey tournament is in Minnesota. It's been awhile since I've been home.

Congratulations on the win!

Second that. I remember, too. Congrats. Fucking Minnescrotans're almost Canuckian in their passion for that sport.

Three blondes died and found themselves standing before St. Peter. He told

them that before they could enter the Kingdom of Heaven, they had to tell

him what Easter represented.

The first blonde, an American, said "Easter is a holiday where they have a

big feast and we give thanks and eat turkey." St. Peter said, "No," and he

banished her to Hell.

The second blonde, a Brit, said "Easter is when we celebrate Jesus' birth

and exchange gifts." St. Peter said, "No," and he banished her to Hell.

The third blonde, a Canadian, said "Easter is a Christian holiday that

coincides with the Jewish festival of Passover. Jesus was having the

Passover feast with His disciples when He was betrayed by Judas, and the

Romans arrested Him. The Romans hung Him on the cross and eventually He

died. Then they buried Him in a tomb behind a very large boulder..."

St. Peter said, "Very good."

...then the blonde continued, "Now, every year the Jews roll away the

boulder and Jesus comes out...

If he sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of hockey!"
