rossi46 Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Hi, going to change the inlet rubbers, both sides of throttle body, any tips before I wade in hamfisted?
gstallons Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 use a vegetable oil cooking spray to make the throttle bodies slide into the rubber easier.
XPLRN Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Hi, going to change the inlet rubbers, both sides of throttle body, any tips before I wade in hamfisted? Sooo how did it go?? I've got this task on My "To Do" list.
Skeeve Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 use a vegetable oil cooking spray to make the throttle bodies slide into the rubber easier. Or better yet, silicone spray: slipperier than PAM, and a rubber preservative instead of a vegetable oil that will just get all gummy when it dries out...
rossi46 Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 sorry-was a easy job-bike has a faint smell of olive oil now!Greek of course

Phil Rusted Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Also - I have found a chap - Mark Hemmingway at Rockingham Classics and Sports, who have parts catalogues for all Guzzi models and orders direct from the Guzzi factory apprently. Anyway, he is a nice bloke and the rubbers are about £11 each I think. Thanks Phil Rusted
