helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 I have to admit I have been thrown out of bars more often for being sober than I have whilst I was drinking ..... truth!
Skeeve Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Pretty funny. Nice to see Mickey getting work again after he scuttled his career in the 90s.
jihem Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Cool advert, at least he's not taking himself seriously. This said, he's a walking example of how wrong and f*cked up plastic surgery can get, especially mixed with too much booze and boxing. He was brilliant in (mesmerizing movie when it came out). And let's enjoy Dennis Hopper while we still can.

Actually, the plastic surgery was to restore his looks from the pounding he took as a boxer. Apparently, he led w/ his chin a lot: the guy must have a HUGE pain threshold! But yeah, it's great that he can laugh at himself & make a little money in the process!

Skeeve Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 He is a gastly looking dude these days isn't he? Steve Yep. I think he knows it too; despite his next-to-miraculous recovery of an acting career he essentially threw in the toilet, I don't think he's seeing as many roles as he would hope for, largely because he's no longer the young, handsome & gifted actor he once was, but now an old, ugly & gifted one. Hollywood is not very kind to the actors who fall in the latter grouping. I think once he gets his head around the fact that he's moved himself out of the "lead player" category & into the "character actor" group, he can have a long & rewarding career: character actors typically get lots of gigs late in life.
jihem Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Just saw him in Ironman 2 (don't bother, it's a childish movie and nowhere near as good as Ironman 1) and his acting was good, they used his look well and even enhanced it with appropriate dreadlocks and tatoos.
