dhansen Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I'm in the process of replacing my crankcase vent hose and noticed that the coils move around alot. Looks to me like the rubber shock mounts that fasten the coil bracket to the frame have come apart. Anyone else ever have this happen or am I missing something here? TIA, Dennis in Maine.

Happens to a lot of em. same mounts as the dash mounts on the Lemans (inadequate), replace or repair.
docc Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Indeed, they do that. I remember putting them back together with an appropriate adhesive ("Shoe Goo," as colloquial as it may sound, is a good choice
dhansen Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Shoe Goo, thats funny. The stuff does work good on shoes though, I've used it. Can't imagine why the shock mounts wouldn't be molded in one piece? Thanks guys.

Thanks guys. cos if they were they wouldn't be very good at absorbing shocks. RS in UK or I imagine radio shack in US would stock replacements. I got mine from RS for about £5. Also used a lot in radio control model boats so worth trying there too. Cheers guzz
