twhitaker Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I've made some progress on the anxiously (well, maybe not) awaited highway pegs. http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=36835.0 The pictures are too big to post here but I managed to post them on Wildguzzi.
twhitaker Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 I finally figured out how to shrink pictures to fit here. This is the right side.
twhitaker Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 And the left side. These are my prototypes. The screw joining the two pieces will not be there. That was just to jig it so I can get it welded in the right spot.
twhitaker Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 It's a rider not a queen. I washed it last year. Check out the starter bolts. That's what happens when you wash it.
twhitaker Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 I know I'd be in for a set!! Gotcha down for one set on the Wildguzzi board unless you want another set. I'm painting the prototype and should have them installed in the next couple days. Pictures to follow.
DeBenGuzzi Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Gotcha down for one set on the Wildguzzi board unless you want another set. NOW that I really look at it, I might have a problem, I don't know if these can even mount up to my bike, I see that support bar you got there is NOT present on red framed bikes, I might not have anyway to mount these up but is present on the newer bikes I don't think I have a mounting point and might have to be out
twhitaker Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 I forgot about that. You're right, the earliest models do not have that mounting hole.
twhitaker Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 I have them painted and installed. Right side. On the way to work I realized two benefits. The feet on the forward pegs takes some of the weight off my hands. My wife can reach forward and use my pegs.
