waspp Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I was getting ready for a ride this morning and noticed my fuel tank has a large (2-3 inch) bubble down low towards the bottom just below where your knee would rest. It actually feels soft compared to the rest of the tank. There is no paint bubbles or peeling and no gas leaking anywhere. I did a quick search but came up empty but it seems like this has come up before. Hal
ponti_33609 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 There are some posts here, I think Todd of MPH has seen many with dimples. I recall some reaction of the gas with the plastic tanks. I also recall him saying Ducati's or another has similar issues. Bob
twhitaker Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I have the same problem with mine although it is several smaller bubbles. The tank on my Centauro is expanding too. It has gotten to the point where the front forks contact the tank before it gets to the stops. Patiently waiting for the Alu tank guy to produce one to see what it looks like before I try to order one.

My V11 had a bubble on the lower right knee cut out and gradually it healed itself. Just like an evangelist. -Topher
