dark_bike Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 A Mr Becker replied to me, stating that they didn't ship to the USA or Canada, due to the lack of product insurance in these countries. A shame, looks like a great product. which means what? is it a legal liability/approval issue or has it to do with the shipping?
dark_bike Posted September 16, 2010 Author Posted September 16, 2010 the item arrived today. It gives a whole new meaning to the word 'overengineered'..you can probably lift a tank with it,too...

A shame, looks like a great product. Hi, I am official reseller Becker Tecknik in France and I understand that Simon Becker considers the procedure too complicated to ship across the Atlantic (customs procedure ). So,I can export from France to the U.S. and Canada (shipment with insurance). The only problem is the cost of the stand delivered to you... eg: 1 V11 Lifter + 2 Sockets (18mm wrench opening) = 89.00 EUR Shipment (USA or Canada) = 65.50 EUR Total: 154.50 EUR (~ 200 USD)...
Buzzard Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Mandello, thanks for the reply. I think that I just might fabricate my own. The shipping seems to be the deal killer. Things like this are some of the minor negatives of owning a non-mainstream motorcycle. I guess I can live with that!
raz Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 The Guzzi paddock stand is not that much different from the Becker one AFAIK and I bet it's available from your local dealers.
