GraeV11
My neck muscles aren't what they used to be and I would also like some protection from the forthcoming winter. I have been looking for a le mans fairing but there are none to be had. Any suggestions? I really do not want to change the standard clip-on position if I can help it. Anything that deflects some air and looks good is what I am after. Thanks. PS I am in the UK.

Lamedog
How about starting with this and trimming the bottom a bit for an endurance racer look? Can'taise the clip ons much I suppose.

Think I will go and have a poke around my local breakers yard and see what's available. Thanks.

As you indicate, the complete kit comes with lower clip-ons and it is probably more than my back could handle. Sounds like I am falling apart ! perhaps it is time to join the Cali gang ? Then again . . .
GraeV11
got this from skidmarx although that r90 fairing looks awesome! I like the look but it seems quite minimal on the protection. Does it have much of an impact ??
rageman
I'll show my particular bias- an R90S fairing or equivalent. I really like this look - and I'm in the market for something new (I just installed pro tek clip-ons that my MG carbon fiber fairing no longer fits with). Any further info and/or pics of the mounting would be great. Looks like a replica can be had here - http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/bmw/bmwboxer.htm (no affiliation, blah, blah). Edit - oops; should have searched. Lots of info - http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1062&st=0&p=8648&hl=r90s&fromsearch=1entry8648 Edited September 20, 2010 by rageman
rossi46
Yes I find it does a good job of deflecting the air but I really want one of these

jrt
[ Think I might try the mk1 fairing here . . . http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/guzzi/motoguzzilemans.htm#price I know it has been done, but I think there are some issues with fit- like you might need to cut the fairing down some in order to install it. Good luck and post pictures when it's done. I like the MK 1 fairing.
