tonupoakland Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Hey all - Sorry to make this my first post, but I never knew this forum existed until today! I am regretfully selling this beautiful bike, wish I could keep it, but she needs to go. Anyhow - as the title says, its a 2002 Moto Guzzi V11 Lemans. I bought it last July from the original owner, who bought it new from Munroe Motors in San Francisco. Very responsibly ridden, never dropped, never taken to the track. Just enjoyed as it was meant to be enjoyed out on the twists and turns in the Bay Area. It has 23.6k miles on it now. High res pics can be found here: Upgrades include some tasteful Ferracci carbon (crossover, front fender, rear fender eliminator, chin scoop) and a full Ferracci exhaust. Power Commander also installed. Upgraded Penske rear adjustable shock. Has new Avons with less than 800 miles on them. Title in hand, recent registration. This bike is in fantastic shape both cosmetically and mechanically. A truly beautiful example of the Lemans, and a rare sport tourer that will really turn heads. This certainly isn't your run of the mill Monster, GXSR or CBR and is a bike with real soul and desire (but you guys already knew that didn't you? :-). You will not find another recent Lemans in such great shape at this price. I've also had some questions on the quality assurance issues that were well documented in 2002 and 2003 when Aprilia bought Guzzi. This bike was completely immune to any of those issues. No paint flaking off the motor case, no leaking seals, no clutch issues. Nada. Regardless - even if there were any issues, by 23k miles (and 8 years) all of the issues would have presented themselves and been corrected by either the previous owner or myself. So rest assured you are getting the best of the best and an incredibly well sorted bike that needs nothing and is completely turn key. If you have any questions, feel free to lob them in. NOTE: I also have this bike listed on Ebay with a realistic reserve... Cheers - AK
