galaxiid
I've finally got around to removing the rear wheel simply for the joy of doing it plus the bonus of shoving a grease gun up the rear universal. I'm putting it back together and went looking for any info in these forums on rear wheel removal and any tips or hints of what to do. I mainly want to know if you grease the final drive (pictured). It looks fairly dry to me but has a touch of silver looking grease on it. If it was up to me I'd slap grease on this fixture. Istruzioni per l'uso (Handbook) stays silent on subject. Can someone point me to a relevant link, I have difficulty searching here. Thanks Chris

Mikuzzi
My final drive splines were showing a light dusting of rust ( at around 10K Km) so I rubbed in a couple of finger smears of grease on re-assembly.
stormsedge
I agree with our forum mates above...last time I had mine apart, I put it back with a very light sheen of a disc brake wb grease I had on hand. Can't hurt. k
felix42o
I like to put a light coat of disc on anything that moves or spins. The factory has been pretty famous for forgetting some areas.
