docc Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Definitely less troublesome than loading up on glucosamine. Probably cheaper, too!
andy york Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 to all that wanted the taller windscreens, send me your shipping address and we will get this ball rolling. The screens are here. thanks andy
mik Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 andy....I emailed the particulars...hope you got them. mik docc, what is that herbal extract one takes for imroved memory ...I forgot and would like to start taking it again.
docc Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 I use single malt scotch but I can't remember if it works. I tried the Grappa Bill Hagan suggested but I'm not even sure how the bottle went dry. Stuff must've leaked out.
mik Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Andy, my thanks to you for getting these windscreens imported. I received mine today and it was a simple install...perfect fit and looks great. biesel, thank you for posting the windscreen information on the site. It is a superior product.
biesel Posted March 18, 2004 Author Posted March 18, 2004 He guys thanks a lot! The windscreen was an initiative by me, a V11 LM rider from Hamburg and my Guzzi dealer. Where do you get your screen from? Directly from MRA, Germany (the manufacturer) or my dealer (Claus Carstens)?
P3GA Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Dave Richardson at Moto International (Seattle) mentioned in an e-mail to me that he had received some new windshields, they might be the same or similar. Granted that was a couple weeks back, but still might be worth a call (206.297.3822). I'd ferret out the info, but I'm heading to the airport right now, and it's 7:20 am out there.. Phil
Guest dkgross Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 yeah..I bought mine from Moto International because I like supporting them. He has a few left in stock. I love mine. Yes..it's the same windsheild.
docc Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 The thread starter, Andy York, is Ducati/Moto Guzzi-Nashville. He's real low key about not using the forum to promote. But he did go to the trouble to get some of these screens from Germany ( I'm not sure if from a dealer or the manufacturer). Hopefully when he checks in he can give us an update on availability. The shop can be reached at (615) 353-1919.
Guest dkgross Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Didn't know Andy had a shop!! Dude..shameless self promotion is highly acceptible
docc Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I hope I'm not speaking out of turn to say he partnered with Ducati-Nashville to bring a Guzzi dealership to middle Tennessee. It's been at least 10-12 years since we've had a Guzzi dealer here. The dealer I bought from was 120 miles away and gave it up last year as it wasn't his primary business. I feel really fortunate to have Andy this close with a full time shop, good wrench, good parts guy (John) and a floor full of Italian bikes.
Guest northend Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Hey Andy, Jeff here! I've tried to e-mail you but still have not got an answer on how to pay you for the windscreen Maybe my original e-mail never made it. Anyway I still would like the tinted screen. I will try to e-mail you again. Thanks.......Jeff H. P.S. Hey Docc!, How's the count coming.....Later,but sooner than you think.
docc Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 I was through that area ( east Tennessee0 last weekend. Some great, great roads! The Super8 in Athens is on TN 30 at I75. There are a nice collection of eateries very close and good 'jumping off' for the riding. So far there are maybe four of us but the whole idea is for folks to have an easy time joining in. Just show up! ( July 10-11 at the Athens, TN, Super8). (Jeff, pm or e-mail and we'll firm up the room thing)
Guest northend Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Hey Docc, I know that this is the wrong thread but I was curious to what you thought about keeping it at a 3 day ride like you posted originally. Would give us more time to ride the "hills" and maybe head down to T.W.O. also. E-mail me and let me know what you think Later............Jeff H.
