cracked rear shock on my v11 lemans

Hi

Was just wondering if anyone knows who can replace the rod end on my Sachs shock from my 04 V11 Lemans.

I don't think i can take it apart any further without screwing up the seals.

I don't need someone that will rip me off,just a fair shop.

The Sachs shock is not very good to start with so most here will advise you replace rather than waste money on a repair.

There is a full range of shocks available from economy to Penske.

If the shock breaks bad things happen. The stock Sachs shock is not worth the money to repair.

Sorry for the bad news, but it's true. On the bright side, you'll be a lot happier with a better shock (I hope!). Also, you'll go a lot faster, since your wallet won't be so heavy.

The Penske is worth every cent. (8983 model on my V11)

I believe that GuzziTech is a supplier. They may have a better price than Penske direct.

Mike Himmelsbach is a great guy (and a racer). He took great care of me when I bought a shock for the wifes V11.

I actually talked to Mike today at Penske.$875.00 with a 3 week lead time for my bike.I'm glad i have 2 other guzzis to ride in the mean time

I only wanted to get the sachs fixed so i could ride the bike until i bought a new one,but i'll just ride the Sport until i can get the Penske.
