Orson Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I may be able to get some vacation time in September. Is anyone planning on going to the 90th Anniversary Party in Mandello? September 16-18, 2011.

Yes, me for instance. Have planned tent and Lido (if still possible). From which side would you enter Italy?
Guzzirider Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I was in Mandello at the start of the month- they are expecting up to 30000 visitors for the Raduno!
Orson Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 From which side would you enter Italy? I haven't gotten my vacation approved yet but, if I do go, I will be coming from Parma. I don't have a tent either so, i guess it depends on whether I can find a hotel within an hour of Mandello
Scura R Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I`m going with this group: http://www.tlm.nl/magazijn/nieuws/24/ They take care of hotels incl. breakfast and dinner, and technical support on the road. Euro 500,- for a singleroom. Nijmegen-Mandello-Nijmegen, from thursday to tuesday.

G.POLEGATO Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 My boss shot down my first vacation request with a, "We'll see." Is a classic Boss answer!!
antonio carroccio Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 If anybody has a plan to go there and want to have a little meeting (I am in Mandello only on Saturday), would be fine to PM us our cell number. It would be great to have a few beers with the fellows of this forum!
SRL Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Anyone from the USA going to fly over? I'm looking to head over at the beginning of the week, hopefully rent a bike for 3 days to see the sights and then go to the party. For you guys that have been there, if I rent a bike in Milan and return it there like on Thursday do I need to rent a car or how long is the train ride from Milan to Mandello (assuming that trip will require multiple train changes)?
antonio carroccio Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Yes you can. It takes about 90 min to get in Mandello. You have to switch in Lecco. The price for one way would be 5 - 6 Euro. About 8 Dollasr.
SRL Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Ok, got my tickets and now just trying to find a bike rental place that still has bikes available. Thought that renting the week before the 90th and returning it before the event started would make it easier but getting worried now, not getting any responses from the rental places.
antonio carroccio Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 try these: https://secure.mototouring.com/booking/avail?l=en&bike= http://www.rental-motorcycle.com/europe/italy/milan_rental.html http://moto.tinoleggio.it/Rent-to-Ride/MOTO-GUZZI-V7-Special-70d09833366cfc66bf8e83f07a5f165a.html http://www.noleggiolamoto.com/Modelli%20e%20tariffe%20-%20Categoria%20Urban.htm http://www.motocard.it/noleggio-moto-mainmenu-37/574-10-vipernolo-noleggio-moto-milano.html http://www.tecnomotomilano.it/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Itemid=5 (not sure if they rent a bike but it's a big and old Moto Guzzi dealer in Milano)
