John in Leeds Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 What a wonderful adventure I'll give it a serious going over this weekend. Particularly liked the pictures of the S8 Sunbeam. One of many bikes I had as a 17 year old. Very reliable and incredibly smooth for its day
guzzler Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 http://www.go-faster.com/SS100.html Good show Mate Thanks for posting that!!! Bloody Marvellous. cheers Guzzler.
The Monkey Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Pull overs for tea and sandwiches, very civiized. That sidecar is a thing of beauty (as is the woman in it). Enough to make ya go out and find a set of +8's and a pipe!
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 That is a great story! Wonderful pictures!
gavo Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 I can't take credit for it, but took it from here http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=731217 a forum i use a lot. He said he has more and will post and I thought people here would appreciate it
jrt Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I love that stuff. Thanks. I've taken a bunch of week-long-ish tours and just a couple that lasted all summer, but always by myself. Being 'out there' is a lot of fun. The camaraderie in these photos is evident, and the scenery ain't bad either! Kudo's to your Dad!
Mikuzzi Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 How great is that! Gave me a grin that hurt- thanks Gavo
