Defective finish on tanks

It's funny, just the other day I noticed some odd crazing of the finish on my tank under the clear coat. So I called the dealer to let them know to start the warrantee process.

 

While perusing eBay, I found that Moto International in Seattle has a Rosso Mandello tank with the exact defect, although a bit worse and on the opposite side, but same location.

 

...odd coincidence. Anyone else have this defect?

 

BTW, the tank is going for cheap so far.

Mornin' Al..

 

I took my Le Mans on a 350 mile ride the day after I bought it with a Moto Guzzi Tank bag on it. When I got back to my shop I noticed that the clear coat had "wrinkled" (for the lack of a better description)..sort of slid into a small lump under the tank bag strap. I took off the bag and left the bike parked in the sun while I did some stuff and a couple of hours later it was ok! It looked a bit like the photo you posted just a little smaller and right on top.

 

BTW I just bought a Wolfman tank bag..this is one of the best bags I have seen. Check it out if you get a chance.
