Wear on tappet and rocker

Just a follow up regarding what is acceptable pitting on a tappet. I sent the picture to a friend of mine in Germany, who is an authorized Guzzi mechanic. He thinks the pitting is too much, and advised me to get a new new tappet. I checked the other side as well, and found that one of the tappets had just as much pitting, while the other a bit less. So three out of four will be changed. Number four was clean as a mirror. Strange...
