mznyc Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I'm gonna pull swingarm and driveshaft when pulling motor for clutch replacement but can't find the "things to do whilst the rear wheel is off list".Was it Docc's? Want to put in an order for parts so I can do what should be done and hope not to be in there for a while.Rear wheel bearings were done about 1K ago.20k total mileage.
twhitaker Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 You might want to take this opportunity to drill the cush drive segments to soften them up.
mznyc Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Ya know that sumptin Ive been wantin to do for years.Though gettin the rear wheel off is no big deal,I was concentrating on the swingarm and driveshaft as Ive never removed them. Will definately make greasing it a lot easier Just wondering if there's any seals, washers, bearings that should get replaced while I have everything including trans out. Will do the cush mod though. Thanks
docc Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Found this one in FAQ: Maintenance Checklist - while the wheels are off
