You're talking about the castellated nut? I have a homemade tool (ground down a socket) that you can use. PM me your address and I'll get it in the mail to you.

Can you not knock it loose with a drift?

Look for km locknut or bearing nut tool or socket.

dimensions here:

http://www.skf.com/skf/productcatalogue/jsp/viewers/productTableViewer.jsp?&tableName=1_16_3&presentationType=3&startnum=1

This place can make them:

They are for sale on uk ebay

It cant be freed by a drift.I think it's 31mm but not 100% and would need the dimensions of the tabs also

Thanks for the link I'll check them out

In case Jasons' socket doesnt fit this is the nut I'm talking about.

Haydn I checked Whittit-higgins and they believe they have it but it is $265.00 About half of cost of the replacement clutch,so I'm still looking for a more affordable option.

I'm pretty sure mine will fit now that I"ve seen your pictures and looked at the workshop manual pictures.

Just be sure to knock back the tangs on the washer if it has any. I seem to recall that they do.

Check your messenger- I sent the tool off this morning.

Good luck!
