Craig Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I was planning on changing the fluid in my gearbox today. After I got back from the warmup ride I changed the final drive fluid then started for the gearbox. The only thing I can find that looks like a drain plug is directly above the catalytic converter. Please tell me I am wrong! (2004 US Ballabio)
Baldini Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Sounds about right! Drain plug is under trans, above exhaust x-over. I use tin foil to funnel oil past exhaust into container. KB
mznyc Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Some good info here, http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=91&st=0&p=509&hl=spark%20plug%20gap&fromsearch=1entry509 Very important to not overfill. I use Baldini's method of a mini Roman Viaduct with foil

Jamess Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 It's only oil! An oven pan is fine, and wipe up with a tissue. It's the only time that part O my bike gets a wipe....
grossohc Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 . It's the only time that part O my bike gets a wipe.... The rest of it doesnt get much either,
