v11cafe Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I remember that my fuel light(reserve) had two scales, soft glowing first and then full. Last three months it stays at the first scale which is hard to see in daylight. I know there is a sensor on the fuel pump, any info on that?
GuzziMoto Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 All the ones I have are on/off switches. It may be that yours needs the switch cleaned but that is all it probably is, a float switch. On both of my spine frames it mounts through the bottom of the tank, but then mine are external fuel pump versions. If you have an internal fuel pump it would likely be part of the pump assembly, follow the wires.
HaydnR Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Are you sure that the constant glowing isn't another warning lamp (neutral) shining through? The in tank pump models use a thermistor for the low fuel sensor no. 4 in the diagram
