Has anyone replaced the screws that secure the TPS to the right throttle body assembly?

Mine are full of yellow paint, too shallow to securely fit a proper hex tool, and can only be turned with a small vice grips.

I need to replace them.

If anyone has a source, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

They are actually not hex but Torx and it is a good move to replace them with hex fasteners making them so much easier to fettle with a simple 90 degree angled hex tool.

The yellow paint is there to help you find the things that need messing with.:luigi:

you could use a dental pick to remove the paint or remove one screw and go get replacements. Change them one at a time to keep the TPS in it's proper place.

Docc, I like the reason for the paint code!

I picked as much of the paint off as I could, still could swear those are hex heads.

They will be shortly...
