motowarren Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Is there any reason I should use resistor plugs? interference with FI signals etc. Is the BS6ES the accepted plug? has anyone found any advantage with the BPR6EIX iridium plugs?
thumper Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I use the BPR6ES I used the iridium plugs thinking more money spent and a hotter spark= better. The iridium plugs got sooty and were not better in my bike. So I went back to the BPR6ES It calls for the resistor so thats what I use.
gstallons Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 You use the spark plug brand and part # your service or owners manual calls for. No wildcat brand or extra irridium-plutonium-platinumstuff........
luhbo Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I have those NGK Iridiums in for 25.000km now. They deliver just what you expect them to, nothing more. Maybe they're better in a worse or worn engine, or under extremly lean conditions, who knows. BPS6.. is your choice once you've installed 'resistored' caps. One resistor is surely enough. Hubert
