fishonline Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Hello, I'm thinking of selling my 2001 V11 Sport with 4000 miles. It's green in color and all stock in perfect condition and I'm wondering what you might think it's worth? Thanks in advance.
docc Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 $11,900US. Oh, wait . . . that's what I paid for mine. Seems like 3500-4500 is a common range, but later special models like Coppas and Corsas are bringing 6500-9500. The early red frame, green Sport with low miles should bring a premium if it's all stock and unmolested. Mine's been molested, but since I molested it myself that doesn't bother me so much.
luhbo Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 4000 miles and perfect condition would give a minimum of 5000 Euros in Germany. I'd call for 6000 actually. It's the 4000 miles. Hubert
fotoguzzi Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hey Fishon, I'm in Mpls and spend time in Danbury.. I'd sure like to own your bike just don't have the 6k asking price.
fishonline Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 Thanks all, I was hoping to get somewhere in that 55 to 6K range. The bike is all stock, never seen rain and spent it's life covered in the garage so I think it's a pretty rare find.
RonV11 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Just traded my 2000 V11 in for $3,250. Dealer had it listed for $3,995. 20k, very good condition, a few nice options.
fishonline Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 Thanks RonV11, I'm curious was yours green?
GuzziMoto Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 While I wish you luck getting $5500 - $6000 for a standard V11, I think the original estimate or $3500 - $4500 was more on par with the value of the bike. The ones that bring in stupid money are usually limited edition versions with factory Ohlins suspension. However, a Motorcycles worth is determined by how much money SOMEONE is willing to pay for it. If you can find someone willing to pay you $6K for yours then congratulations. I prefer the early red frame versions, including the green ones, but not everybody shares that sentiment. There are pro's and con's to both the early ones and the later ones.
RonV11 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Thanks RonV11, I'm curious was yours green? No mine was silver. Like docc's.
fishonline Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 Just a quick update, I sold the bike today for $6000.00. Perhaps the value is coming up. Thanks for the help and best to all of you.
docc Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Good news! Silver ones must be worth, like, $11,900 . . . Really, good for you and the new owner who has a very nice V11. Hope they know to log-on here! 1
Skeeve Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Just a quick update, I sold the bike today for $6000.00. Perhaps the value is coming up. Thanks for the help and best to all of you. Sounds about right for one of the "Telaio Rosso" tribute Greenies w/ such low miles. Some people really go nuts for the color [i'm not fond of it, personally, more of a Tenni-green fan myself] & in combo w/ the red frame, it truly does make for a striking machine. Congrats! So, you moving up to a new Greaser [Griso?]
fotoguzzi Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Lucky guy! wish I were the new owner.. there's a black one here about to go for $3800.. (12k miles)
