00 V11 f/s in my hood

I went to look over this 2000 Sport cause the price is around $3,000.us..

the tank has a leak from ethanol swelling (I guess). rubbed against the right side frame/steering yoke area.. just noticed my spare tank has the same swelling but not all the way thru..

the speedo needle looks like new compared to the tach..

bike needs a good clean up, has oily mist  or the leaky gas on it..

sounded good, no extra clatter in the motor, Akropovic, stock x-over.

some paint scratches..

steer clean or offersomething like $2500?

Exactly where is this gas leak ?

inside the part that straddles the steering stem, right side.. where the lower frame struts are welded to the neck. it cut/worn a round hole from the exposed part of the frame tube.

I would make sure I could get a replacement tank before buying.

I don't know.But even for just parts,if you could get it for $2500.00 or less it might not be a bad deal.Tanks show up on Ebay and here in the $3-$400 range.Looked clean otherwise,...

FWIW, if anybody buys this, I have an extra tank that will fit this. It is dark metallic red (maroon?) and could stand to be painted.

I'm not interested in selling it otherwise at this point.

Looks like it could be a very good deal but if you decide to buy and part it out I've got a shopping list for my 2K Sport!
