Blueboarhound Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 A few of us are getting together for an afternoon ride on June 16th. If anyone else wants to join us here are the details. Start time: 2pm (some of us are going to get there around 1pm and partake in a pre-ride espresso) Start location: Villa Rosa Restaurant, Grantville @ Rts. 22 & 743. (about 15 min. East of Harrisburg Pennsylvania) From there we will travel north to Shamokin and back around to Ft. Indiantown Gap. Proposed route: Rt. 743 N. to Rt. 443 W. to Rt. 322 W. to Rt. 225 N and over Peter's Mtn. to Halifax and onto Powel's Valley Rd. to Carsonville where we'll take Glen Park Rd. to Lykens. At Lykens onto Rt. 209 to Tower City to Rt. 125 to Shamokin. Back Rt. 125 to Tower City and over Gold Mine Rd. to Moonshine Rd. to Ft. Indiantown Gap where we will go our separate ways. Hope to see some of you there.
motowarren Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 That's a great ride I do that a couple of times a year myself. Unfortunatly my Guzzi is apart now for trans repair. Can I ride along on one of my other bikes?

A little mist here and there after Carsonville but it became a steady drizzle when we reached Rt. 125 at Ravine so we headed south instead of north. It tapered off and the roads were dry again by the time we reached the Lebanon Co. line on Rt. 443. Overall a great ride. Hopefully we can put another one together this summer and get some more members out. BTW, the homemade tiramisu at Villa Rosa, E' delizioso.
