callison Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 Have you guys seen that the new MGS/0l 'street legal' model is less power than what we have? (less torque). The MGS01 is using a Daytona type motor. 100cc's smaller. From the 97 MG sales brochure: Sport 1100i 1064cc 9.5:1 66 kW (90 CV) at 7800 rpm 95 Nm (9.7 kgm) at 6000 rpm. Daytona RS 992cc 10.5:1 75 kW (102 CV) at 8400 rpm 88 Nm (9 kgm) at 6600 rpm
bento Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 so a friend of mine and i got to talking about this recall business and his question was, " so how did they find out about the recall?". and i find that i would like to know as well. has there infact been a tranny failure?
TX REDNECK (R.I.P.) Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 The recall came about from a long term test bike on loan to ' Cycle World '. Which makes me wonder if this had not happened to a press bike... would the rest of us have ever been notified? Me thinks not.
bento Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 wow, they must really beat the snot out of bikes!!
