sp838 Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Good news from MGNA, the bike had its recall service in March '04. So that's one less thing to worry about.
sp838 Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 W00T!!! Success! Shifts like butter. Way better than before. Only got up into fourth going around the block, but seems like it's fixed. Finds neutral really easily, shifts fown from neutral into 1st with one easy tap, then up into the higher gears effortlessly. Thank you all so much, especially for your patience.
sp838 Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 (now I just have to hope that the permatex liquid gasket sealed properly... oy vey :-P )
mznyc Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 There's not much pressure on that seal and you may even be able to close it without using sealant(I do).You would have to have correct and even torque to do that. Once your happy gotta come up to the Hudson Valley, roads you can really get to use her like you should!
