John in Leeds Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I've no idea about the dialogue but it seems fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nnv9ctzYUc&feature=youtube_gdata_player apologies if this has been posted before
Admin Jaap Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Based on the Motomania cartoons by Holger Aue. (A Guzzi rider btw) Brilliant stuff!
Admin Jaap Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 A lot of German slang which imo doesn't translate well. Maybe a German forum member could give it a go? Luhbo?
Orson Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I had a dirt biking friend who used to use the cigarette cut in half trick
Guzzi2Go Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Words do not matter here. Feel free to ignore.
docc Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Being the second rider coming up, it is hard to ignore the words. I would be curious about even a "catch phrase" from the end of the dialog. I can only fill in what has been said to me in English, like, "Man, I just got out of the hot tub and had a nice single malt. Did you you get lost or have a break-down?" or: "All of the women in the lodge have been satisfied, but it's good you have finally got here. Maybe you could iron their shirts." or even: "Oh, man, it's OK, Nurburgring is like that - you could be stuck behind a tour bus for lap after lap . . ."
Guzzi2Go Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Holger (Guzzi, comicbook author), or Holli Hatzenbach (all characters carry names of Nürburgring POIs,) asks Bernd "Brembo" Breidscheid (Kawa) if he had stopped to lube the chain along the way.
Guzzi2Go Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Crash course in German - for future cartoons.
docc Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Crash course in German - for future cartoons. We play this now at parties. It is a fantastic hit! My son took it back to college and has made new friends! It is even funnier than when Andy York asked me if I had stopped to oil my chain. Come to think of it, he had finished his cigarette and the Coke was long gone . . . 1
Lucky Phil Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Looks like the venu is the Nurburg Ring. Ciao
