Admin Jaap Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Sent from FRED (Fricking Ridiculous Electronic Device) My father had one of those. He thought it was a piece of crap :-) 1
AndyH Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Pretty though. He could have had an Ariel Arrow: slightly faster crap! And top marks for Ner-A-Car: usually seen in black. Someone definitely decided to go out on a limb with that colour scheme. Intended to deceive, so good spotting. 1
Admin Jaap Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Pretty though. He could have had an Ariel Arrow: slightly faster crap! He used his bike summer and winter visiting farmers. It had to be reliable, speed wasn't that important
doug m Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Okay .... try this one!! Looks like a MV Augusta badge?

dangerous Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 what do we have to do here... gusee it before we can post one of our own or just post?
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 If you have something....post it ! Like this .....
AndyH Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The engine layout puts me in mind of those fabulous thirties DKW two stroke racers but clearly in a mid twenties frame and nowhere near enough finnage.... A precursor? Got me there Jim!
luhbo Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Gilera? Garelli. He started with double piston 2-strokers. The same basic concept as TWN (in my special case). I read a story about the pre-war DKW racing bikes with similar pipes. Either you outpaced them (hardly) or you kept a good distance. Otherwise you've been deafened for the rest of the day. BTW, you know this: Quiz - Burnistoun ('Music, that's my thing') Hubert 1
Admin Jaap Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Very close! It's a Garelli. http://thevintagent.blogspot.nl/2012_11_01_archive.html

helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 You have to do a little more research than just what make this is ... I'll let you know when you've found out enough!!
gstallons Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 With that bent-all-to-h*ll kickstarter it reminds me of a Montesa or Bultaco ?
AndyH Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 But I'd say it was likely a twingle too...carb out the side like that.
