I don't know, the passenger pillion on a Sport 1100 or Daytona RS is pretty flat, a pizza might sit well back there.....

I'll bring the bungies!

We already figured out how to get a full case of ale in the Tekno panniers . . .

Seven weeks out! Just emailed Walt to start the reservation process. Rather than fix the oil leak on the Sport, I think I'll just bring a rag.

Anyone know if minimike's Tellico Motorcycle Outfitters is still open?

Sadly, I have been told Mike has closed the place.  Rats.  Aside from the obvious of Mike running a nice shop for m/c gear, I really loved that model of the Macchi C.202 in his window!    :notworthy:

His wife's cookie shop across the street is also gone.  We can ask Walt, but I gather that the "bypass" killed (already near-moribund) "downtown" Tellico Plains.

It was just to much effort for little return for Mike plus being open all the time was difficult. The place that sells the biker tee's is starting to stock some gear and looks to be picking up where Tellico Outfitters left off. Nice B&B right in downtown the Farmhouse Inn, he's a local rider with tools and a tire machine!

Panniers??? I'll just go old school and sit on the twelve pack.

Won't need a carnation in my lapel to be ID'd at this SSR.

Check out my new tag.   :race:

We are shaping up to be six leaving Middle Tennessee on Friday morning, the 12th of September, for the 200 mile ride over the Cumberland Plateau to Tellico Plains.  More details later on the rendezvous point (read: "breakfast!") for those who might like to join us. Otherwise, see you all mid-afternoon at The Lodge.

Owing to the deep shadows riding into the sun, and yearning for a fresh route, we will likely head south on Saturday to European Motorsports in Dahlonega, Georgia. Somehow, a brush up the Cherohala should be in order as well.

Remember, all, this is a non-event with no plan, no organization, no affiliations. Simply put: some guys with similar bikes might end up in the same place at the same time and compare notes. Maybe share relays (bring extras!). :luigi:

"Some guys?"

Kathi, sobbing quietly, wants to know if this is a "No Gurlz Allow'd" event.  :o

P.S. Gotta go; she needs consoling.

Awww . . . I feel bad with my post knowing full well some excellent ladies have joined in over the years.

More consoling to come! Sure have missed you two these last couple years.

Well guys, I just had my follow up with the specialists and it looks like I'm in for six more weeks of physical therapy then another evaluation so I'm out for this year. I guess there's some irony in a back injury keeping me from the Spine Raid.....

Cage it; we'll only make fun of you a little bit.

Seriously, you can have a good time just hanging around, and the drive down and in and around -- while perhaps best on the right motorcycle -- is not bad in a pleasant cage.

Yeah - these guys hardly ever post (more than a few) pictures of goofy stunts one might perform at Spine Raid . . .

You guys just want me to haul your bacon and beer.....

Sure, but we'll love you for it!
