dhansen Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Hi Folks. Haven't been on here for ages. Good to see things are moving along. I've got to do the seals in my rear drive this spring so I was searching for threads on the subject. I found several, including Docc's and Pete's but I seem to remember another with lots of photos and some examples of homemade tools to make the task easier. Was it by Andy York? Am I imagining things? Whatever, I haven't found it if it exists. Any guidence would be appreciated. TIA, Dennis in Maine.
docc Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Hi, Dennis! Good to see you around! There is this recent thread by Bjorn who started on the outboard needle bearing and went on to document an entire restoration of the swingarm and reardrive (excellent): Rear drive needle bearing and swing arm restoration I remember the P.Roper thread with his faithful assistant, Colin the Happy Chicken. I watched Andy York, The Seal Whisperer, work his magic on my rear drive, but don't recall a specific thread with the details.
dhansen Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 Thanks docc, I did see that thread too. I'll go back through them all and see what it looks like. Still to cold here to do any actual work but time to get ready! dh
