Whisky thread.

Drinking Talisker Storm on a Friday night.

What's your single malt favourite?

I'm not a fan of Scotch, single malt or otherwise.  But I do like a good bourbon.  I recently bought a bottle of Makers 46 and found it to be a very nice whiskey.

Love the A'bunadh.

That should read: Luuurv the A'bunadh!

Did you try6 the Dark Storm?  Didn't think twas as nice as the Normal Storm.

A good Welsh single malt is Penderyn , I have been at their distillery tour, not too far from where I live.

Can't make my mind up better the " ordinary" single malts, or the peated\ smoked malts.

Give me. Your favourites please.

These are my two favourites...

The Ballentines is blended rather than single malt, but qualifies as it's a blend of single malts aged from 10-21 years and left to mature for a further 15 years in Oak barrels.  Both are limited run selected/special reserves.

Between A'bunadh and Bunnahabhainn - both of them really fine, but for me, I think the Bunnahabhainn has it.

Should I be shocked that Guzzi guys gravitate to whisky that smells like gearoil leaking on an exhaust crossover?

This bottle of Talisker Storm must be faulty, I bought it on Friday evening and it was full.

It's Sunday evening now, and there's only half of it left............ The bottle must be leaking, or it is evaporation.......

Tried the Auchentoshan three wood last night- if you like a fresh, sweet and oaky dram I'd recommend it.

Despite the lack of thrilling motorcycling roads, the isles are very much a worthwhile destination:

I'm off up to visit my pal in Kilmarnock in a couple of weeks for a jaunt over to Skye- he says it's breathtakingly lovely.  Also hoping to ride the A9 before they turn the speed cameras on!  :D

Skye is indeed lovely. So's the whisky.

Its midges are not. They come out before the A9 cameras are switched on.
